What I've been reading on a personal level

I am reading three books right now, trying to get in some personal reading before the NSTA/CBC books begin arriving. Some great recommendations* from fellow MEMTA folks:

The Help*

I LOVED The Help, very funny and entertaining but sad and head shaking at the same time. I'm at my mom's this weekend and she just finished it as well. Our goal is to go see this at the movies tomorrow night.

The Alchemist*

I'm now deep into NSTA/CBC books. I'm being good and reading the novels since I sometimes let those go to the end and then I'm frantically reading these. If you are not familiar with these books, these are the books that have been designated as the Outstanding Children's Science Trade books. This is my final year on the committee, I will miss it, even though getting through all the books up for nomination is a daunting task.
